REBECCA WALDMAN

Prior to joining Islet in March 2021, Rebecca was a partner in Dechert LLP’s Litigation group. At Dechert, her practice focused on advising businesses in the financial services sector and their executives on a wide range of matters with a focus on complex commercial litigation, securities litigation and related civil and administrative matters, SEC and CFTC enforcement proceedings and internal and governmental investigations. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in economics and received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law.

HANIF DHANANI
Prior to joining Islet in April 2022, Hanif was the COO & CCO for just over seven years at EastBay Capital, a NYC based global long/short equity TMT hedge fund manager. He also served as the firm’s CFO for five and a half years until he promoted his Controller to the role. Hanif joined EastBay pre-launch and was responsible for the fund accounting, investor relations & operational due diligence, trade operations, legal, compliance, regulatory filings, and administration of the firm. He identified and managed the relationships with the key service providers, registered the firm with the SEC, established the compliance program, and served as the Cayman fund’s internal director. During Hanif’s tenure at EastBay, the firm grew from $8.5M to $1B peak AUM across multiple fund structures and SMA’s. Prior to EastBay, Hanif was a Consultant (COO/CFO) to two fund startups, and prior to that, he was the Controller for four years at Trivium Capital, a global long/short equity hedge fund manager with peak AUM of $1B. He began his career with CITCO Fund Services in Toronto, Grand Cayman and NYC as a Fund Accounting Manager over five years before being recruited by Trivium. Hanif received a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
